Ongoing folded bookworks series made with printed matter produced while on sabbatical in Sydney, Australia. The book concepts and construction of these works have been further developed and completed in the UK.

This book can be opened and displayed as a freestanding, expanded and immersive structure. It can be viewed in multi configurations and also can be held in the hands for more intimate tactile reading engagement. The non-linear narrative structure of the book works alludes to mapping and a walking passage or dérive, through urban architectural environments.

This series of 5 book works, investigates ways in which the book form may hold and contain a distillation of direct and imagined experience of the landscape. In the act of reading maps, one may prompt a familiar fleeting pang of recognition making a place quantifiable through recall.
Freestanding sculptural/architectural concertina structure book-work with hard back cloth covers with small circular kangaroo leather printed inlays.These concertina books are of a conventional scale when folded down closed. However they expand upwards, downwards and horizontally when opened out, with the possibility of multi configurations to cover a much larger surface area than that of the closed book.
Content includes additive relief prints and translucent pages of digital printed imagery/texts. These includes page layout imagery of 3D scans of cast concrete artifacts made by the artist. They are juxtaposed with pages of stitch drawings on appropriated aerial mapping material. The non-linear narrative content, is spatially contextualized through the unfolding of sculptural paper engineering
