One of a series of painterly books alluding to the abstracted filmic image. The memory of direct experiences of specific time and place has been used to create a series of books that represent a collective layering of incident and the fleeting moment. In these works, calligraphic elements of drawing alluding to text resonate within painterly imagery, fixed as a sequence within the book form, but not necessarily as a linear narrative. As a distillation of experience, this work in a filmic frame by frame format, along with the other artists books in this series, aims to capture the fleeting moment as the equivalent of a visual haiku.
